The Investment Programme in detail:
Snow making
· Replacement of 2 low pressure machines on both the Planai and Hochwurzen
· In order to provide even faster snow coverage, various extensions and improvements have been made to the system.
Pistes
· Extension of the Mitterstein piste on the Dachstein, so it can still be used in times of low snow coverage.
· Construction of ski routes, so that beginners and others can make full use of the ski pass.
· Renovation of the Poser ski crossing.
· Various piste improvements (widening) on the Planai & Hochwurzen
· Extension and improvement of the safety netting on certain pistes, showing concern for safety.
Piste Machines
· The Snowboard-Funpark on the Dachstein glacier has evolved into a great product. For the shaping of the park, normal piste machines are not paticularly the best. In order to achieve a high standard of park, a new piste machine has been arranged.
Gondolas and Lifts
· After provision of electricity to the Dachstein Top Station, the project is to change the gondola to electro power. During this project the diesel generators from 1966 will be removed, the entire system renewed and various improvements in the mechanics will be carried out. In addition a new emergency electricity generator will be installed.
Other Investments
· Provision of Electricity to the Dachstein 2.Phase
The first phase of providing the top station Hunerkogel with electricity was achieved in 2003. The second step, planned for 2004 is to provide electricity for the Glacierlifts I and II, and the Mitterstein chairlift.
· Dachstein Viewing Platform (Dachstein Sky Walk)
In order to provide our day visitors with an unforgettable experience, construction of a panorama platform around the gondola top station is planned. It will then be possible to have a view of the amazing scenery from all sides.
· Purchase of two new company buses
Construction of an automatic toll station on the Planai, so that a daily thorough control of road users can be carried out.
· Purchase of a new Citybus to strengthen the bus fleet.
Change in the IT to a new acounting system.
· Construction of a new carpark, in order to provide more space during busy times at the base station.
