International slope seal of approval for Planai

Anonymous ski areas in the European alpine regions have been extensively tested at the “international ski area tests” for 14 years. The test in the winter of 2006/2007 resulted in very satisfying marks for the Planai Hochwurzen slopes. Head of Planai slopes, Bernhard Schupfer, and Head of Hochwurzen slopes, Günter Pekoll, accepted the “international seal of approval” for slopes and an award for slope maintenance and slope preparation.

In Europe, the “international ski area test” is the only test in the alpine region, which extensively and independently tests regions offering snow sports. Approximately 45% of the tested regions lie in Austria, round 25% in Italy, and round 20% in Switzerland. The outstanding 10% lie in German, France, etc. 220 testers and designated members of the jury assessed 16 regions in the winter of 2006/2007. The tests have meanwhile become a permanent and recognized scale used for the cable car industry in Europe.
