An unbelieveable heavy begin of winter at the Horsefeathers Pleasure Jam made the traditional Dachstein-Opening impossible. Still all the Snowboarders, media-and industryrepresentatives and the professionals riders from all over Europe, that travelled to Schladming that weekend, had an unforgetable time between powdersnow and partys. The Horsefeathers Pleasure Jam stayed what it always was – a funny and relaxed meeting of the european snowboardszene at the beginning of the season. Because riding and partying together always was the motto of this event!

On thursday the 08.11.2007 the weatherforecast and the actual situation on Dachstein glacier showed in an obvious way, that the performance of the Horsefeathers Pleasure Jam on Dachstein would not be possible.
The strong snowfalls and the heavy winds made even the operation of the gondola almost impossible. Therefore the planned contest Horsefeathers Knights of Style had to be cancelled.

With the generous help of the Planai-Hochwurzen-Bahnen and the tourismboard of Schladming, the organisators QParks (Quality Snowparks) could move all the planned film-and fotoshootings to Schladmings skiingresort Planai. The permanent snowfalls there gave the crews from all over Europe hipdeep powdersnow and first class conditions for the production of many amazing powdershots. All this by the beginning of november – it seems like this winter will be a better one for snowboarders than the last one was!

According to that the atmosphere at the Gala Dinner - Get Together in Schladmings Posthotel was very good. More than 200 professional snowboarders and representatives of the industry and various snowboardmedia joined in there for a relaxed dinner in a nice surrounding. Together they celebrated the beginning of the season.

Talking about partys, Fridays “Pickings Stollen” party in Schladmings Hofbauerstollen was woth more than a short visit. At the Horsefeathers Wheel of Fortune precious stuff from this hip snowboardclothing-brand were raffled, while DJ Mundpropaganda made the crowd move in an intense way.

Besides more powdersnow and happy faces saturday brought one more partyhighlight to Schladming. At the Oldschool Disconight in the Sonderbar one could be part of a crowd of stylish dressed partypeople. From neonoveralls on to real gangsteroutfits from the seventies everything could be watched and enjoyed!

Last but not least both of the videopremieres in Schladmings cinema caused a big rush. The Pickings production “Believe” and Germanys Isen7 production “Übermovie” were showed for the first time in the styrian Ennstal valley.

The Horsefeathers Pleasure Jam 2007 was a huge success. Therefore Schladming and the Dachstein glacier will stay the mekka of the european snowboardscene beginning of November for the next years as well.
