20 million albums sold speak for the exceptional artist from Detroit, USA, who in recent months has finally climbed the pop stairway to European heaven with his album 'Rock N Roll Jesus'. So Schladming is jubilant to have signed Kid Rock for a concert on 7 December, particularly since there was stiff competition for his time. Similar to 2007, when the American rock band PINK caused a stir in Schladming with over 100 national and international journalists reporting from Schladming, the Kid Rock concert will take place within the framework of the opening ceremony in the Planai Stadium. Together with Ischgl, the Planai is the only ski area in the Alps that befittingly celebrates its overture with international stars.
Connoisseurs consider Kid Rock “America’s last real rocker” with the potential for world stardom.  Kid Rock also gained a certain amount of popularity through his brief marriage to Pamela Anderson, the blonde beauty from Baywatch in the 90s.
