At 2.700 m altitude you stand in the middle of one of the most incomparable mountain scenes, that of the longest cross country course in the world. Daily around 500 Athletes from more than 25 Countries come to take advantage of the best prepared cross country course.
World champions and Olympic champions don’t grow on trees – only through hard training, but the preparations for competitions should also take place in natural conditions.
With the opening of the Dachstein-South face lift, a true training paradise for cross country skiers and biathletes has been opened up. The Dacshtein Glacier offers the ideal training surroundings, that are required to reach and be part of the elite – and they know that.

From July to November the world elite have the opportunity to prepare for the most challenging competitions on the 18 km Diagonal- and Skatingloipen, the basis for winning that gold medal.
