This year Hochwurzen will have its very own „Hochwurzen Playground“. A Fun Park opening the gates of freestyle for you. The idea behind it goes a little further however. The “Hochwurzen Playground“ (a small Mellow Park) is a concept which will appeal to alpine riders as well as boarders. 300 metres long and 30 metres wide, it is the new area on the Hochwurzen in close vicinity to the base station of the “Hochwurzen Gipfelbahn”. Several rails, jumps and kickers await you. What is really special about this park is that it is going to be open during the night too. The longest floodlight facility in the Alps make this possible. Opening times: daytime from 9.00 to 16.00 and evenings from 19.30 to 22.00. And atmosphere has not been forgotten, the Tauernalm is right next to the “Hochwurzen Playground”! This area will of course be marked off simply for users of the park.
Snowboarden in Schladming
The area around Schladming is lucky enough to have two great parks: The Burton Superpark is available in autumn and spring way up on the Dachstein glacier and the Hochwurzen Playground is the ideal place for boarders and free-skiers during the winter. Naturally, we will post updated information as soon as the construction of the Hochwurzen Playground starts. In the meantime we wish all boarders and skiers a great time on the Dachstein!
